What to expect ?

The backrooms in general is about exploring empty unsettling spaces, expect variety of levels that are inspired from the original "backrooms wiki" and some from the kane pixels videos, there are no stick figures entities, no chasing scenes, no dying mechanic, instead the "hook" is you will be in the backrooms with a remote control car that will add up to the experience and that will help you explore parts of the levels that you cannot reach, gathering intel & contexts about what is happening and what happened, you can pick up / interact with in game items to help you solve some puzzles so you can progress.
finally the game has a lore to it, a story to unveil, you are in that creepy dimension for a reason.

Game play :

-The game mechanics are based on exploring horror in the different levels. Imagine a walking simulator, but you have a remote control car that can be deployed & picked whenever you want.
-The RC car will help you explore places within each level that the player character can't reach. Some of the levels have puzzles that require a certain in-game items to be picked up by the RC car in order to progress.
-The player can interact with certain items & objects in each level.

Story :

Tape 101 is set in 2005, you are an agent of the rescue team working at "Metaphysical Research Facility" known as the M.P.R.F, where a portal to an alternative dimension known as "the backrooms" has been opened. The first expedition went wrong when one of the research team member went missing into the liminal realm. You have been assigned on a mission with a remote control car to investigate and rescue the lost agent where everything went wrong. You are left alone in a seemingly infinite eerie realm where the horror surrounds you, can you make it out? Is there anything to discover?
